​Born over a decade ago in the backyard of a modest little house in Northern NJ, Prime Performance was created for one purpose.  To fill a desperate need for a quality MR2 shop in the Northeast.  You see, back then, as now, it was incredibly difficult to find anyone who even knew what an MR2 was, never mind someone to work on one.  So, we decided if no one else would work on our beloved MR2s, we would do it ourselves.  They do say necessity is the mother of invention.  Over the years we have grown in a great many ways but the motivation has never changed. Prime Performance was created for one purpose: Make the MR2 the best it can be. Whether we are providing the necessary parts or knowledge you need to help you bring your dead or dying MR2 back to life, we are here to make sure these awesome little Toyotas never die.
